It is not uncommon to receive prompts for a keychain password on your MacBook computer. If you don’t remember your old user password stored within ‘Keychain access’ or have tried changing your keychain password through this KB article and still have problems afterwards, give these steps a try:
1. Launch Keychain Access (‘Utilities’ within ‘Applications’)
2. Click ‘Keychain Access’ on menu bar
3. Select ‘Preferences’
4. Click the ‘Reset My Default Keychain’ button
5. Click the blue ‘OK’ button
6. Quit Keychain Access and restart your computer
